The words written in Isaiah 43:18-19 say` Do not remember the former things, or consider the things of old. I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?’ What do these words say to us today?

Nothing can separate us from the love of God

“Stories help us to better understand the world around us, our relationships with other people, and even ourselves. We use them in our daily life and work; churches and other communities use them to build from within and to reach out to others; and stories enrich our knowledge of God and help us grow in faith.”

Masks? Yes or No. Opening Churches? Yes or No. Slimming clubs using our buildings? Yes or No? Hugging? Singing? Meeting for coffee? No.

If you are like me it is and continues to be difficult getting your head around all the guidelines from government, church, hearing other people’s interpretations of these. What is it we can do and what is it we can’t ?

Over the past few weeks, we have experienced a quite different world, aspects of which have been good, some bad. In relation to covid we have valued the work of refuse collectors, postman, carers and nurses in a whole new way, communities have come together to clap these workers on a Thursday evening. We have worshipped in a new way and there have been renewed contact across the circuit like never before.
