As we approach advent, we wait in hope for the light of the world to come to us and abide with us. I encourage you to see the chinks of light breaking through the gloom and recognise them as God being active in our world and in our lives.

I wonder if you have ever had that feeling of oh no, here we go again!

As the days shorten take heart that God is with us, try to bloom where you have been planted knowing that God has “plans to give you hope and a future”.

Whatever our circumstances in these testing times, may we not forget the power of prayer. Let us keep our eyes open, be alert and see what God is doing.

Good to be able to share some good news……

Apply the principle of making chutney to people and we too have a diversity of “ingredients” in every community, country and across the world.

Paul tells us to try and remain positive. When we are anxious we tend to think negatively. We imagine the worst scenario. This is disastrous. We must concentrate on the good, not on the bad.

God is with us in our questions, our anger, our sadness, and pain. God is with us in our loneliness, in our distress, in our happy times, and in our times of mountain peak experiences and in our low moments too.
