May: Thoughts from Huw

Dear Friends,
The ancient story is told of a rabbi who gathered all his students together very early in the morning while it is still dark. He told them to pay attention because he had an important question to ask them.

April: Thoughts from Huw

Dear Friends

Going for growth at Wesley!

I would like to draw your attention to our Church Annual General Meeting which will take place on Sunday 29th April following the morning service. After the usual business, I will be inviting us to respond to the question `Do we long for our church to grow?` Why?  Because the Methodist Conference  has instructed every Church  across the Connexion   to come up with a growth plan or an end of life plan over the next two years.

March: Thoughts from Huw

Dear Friends

November: Thoughts from Huw

Dear Friends

It is very easy in the day by day life of the Church in a Circuit such as ours, to miss the wood for the trees. What I mean is that so much of our time is given (and rightly given) to administration, finance, upkeep of buildings and much else besides. Those who serve on Church Councils will know how much of our regular agenda is concerned with these and similar issues.
